Belluno, Marangoni Festival: the event that celebrates arts and crafts of the past, discovering Borgo Pra.

Marangoni Festival: among the new features of the 2024 edition, also free guided tours. From morning to afternoon the guide Marta Azzalini accompanied the participants, divided into small groups, to discover the history of the Pra up to the Anta, telling its origins, characters and anecdotes. “The weather will be on our side, one more reason to participate in the event with the whole family – comments the councilor for sport and leisure, Monica Mazzoccoli -. The guided tours are a proposal designed to enhance our territory even in the hamlets, to remind us of our history, the professions of the past and our roots, for this reason I also invite the people of Belluno to welcome the initiative".

The first group was organized with departure at 10.45am, the last at 15pm. Each route lasted approximately 1 hour and wound through the streets and square of Borgo Pra. The visit is dedicated to discovering the ancient history of Borgo Pra and its traditions: from the naming of the square to San Lucano to the story of the birth of the fountain, from the presence of the hydraulic factories along the Ardo to the story of the numerous bridges over the stream, from the view on the eastern side of Belluno to the Hollywood story of Baldenich's Beffa.

The party

The event was relaunched in 2023 by the current Administration after 15 years of stopping with the name "Remembering the Marangoni and the ancient arts" and aims to be an opportunity to enhance the history, roots and identity of the Belluno community.

There was no shortage of it face painting station and not even thestreet food corner with various proposals capable of meeting everyone's tastes. Also proposed try drawing for the little ones, asked to illustrate a corner of Borgo Pra with colored pencils; all the contributions will then be displayed on the "Little Artist's Wall". The first 200 participants were given a free drawing kit offered by Cartoleria Tarantola.
