Arezzo, the "Sound Paths" project is underway: 12 months of courses, workshops and masterclasses to introduce young people to artistic disciplines.
A space entirely dedicated to culture and young people, capable of offering various types of training opportunities and courses in the artistic field and in sectors that revolve around culture. This is what the project proposes “Sound paths”, developed by “Arezzo che Spacca” with the contribution of 100 thousand euros from the “Fermenti” tender of which the association was the winner in 2019. Finally, after the shutdown imposed by the pandemic, it will be possible to start the rich and complex program which includes, in addition to the creation of a cultural incubator and association hub, the organization of courses, workshops and masterclasses with the presence of established experts in the various sectors of artistic disciplines, from acting to videomaking and photography. The focus of the project, which will develop over the next 12 months, will be the offer of a real tutoring service for those groups or individuals intending to embark on your own artistic journey, while also providing practical opportunities to gain experience. Furthermore, the Association intends to create a web TV, create an unprecedented "Music Fair" and give life to the second appointment of the "Malpighi Festival" which saw its debut in summer 2021. An important affirmation for “Arezzo che Spacca”, which allowed it to evolve from a playlist to an association until it transformed into a real physical and mental incubator of actions linked to the enrichment of the cultural fabric and the growth of a real own music scene.
A fundamental partner in every phase of planning and implementation is the Municipality of Arezzo, which welcomed and made the premises of the former Florentine district available to the association on free loan for use, will sponsor the events and offer collaboration for logistics and equipment. In this “adventure” “Arezzo Che Spacca” will also be able to count on the collaboration of the “Petrarca” Classical-Musical High School, OIDA, Officine della Cultura, Men/Go Music Fest, Centro Onda D'Urto, Musicanti del Piccolo Borgo, Mearevolutionae, Fondazione Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte, Rooftop Studio, Terra di Arezzo, La Fortezza and CSI-Comitato di Arezzo. Radicimusic Records, Mammaiuto and Noidellescarpediverse will be involved in the construction of training courses in the artistic-cultural field. Farrago, in addition to collaborating on events and training courses, will take care of the Web TV and multimedia content to be produced for the "Percorsi Sonori" project. The Care, Baobab and Symposium of Hipparchia actively collaborate on social activities.
“Only a few days after my appointment as councilor, the happy news arrived that Arezzo che Spacca had won this tender with the partnership of the Municipality of Arezzo. We immediately worked on the arrangement of the property already home to the Florentine district, which had not been used for some time -, declared councilor Federico Scapecchi. - Today, after two years of the pandemic, we officially inaugurate this youth center, also home to the other associations that collaborated with Arezzo che Spacca: another objective of my department, that of creating a 'house of associations', has therefore come to fruition".
“It's an honor to be here today -, said the undersecretary sen. Tiziana Nisini. – I think it is a pride for the city that this project has come to fruition. The Administration has always been present, sensitive to a reality like this, important and inclusive, which makes sociality, essential today more than ever before for our children after the two years of restrictions due to the pandemic, its ultimate objective".
“Another house of music is born, an environment for young people in an area that needs a rebirth. We are very satisfied with this extraordinary result,” said councilor Roberto Bardelli.
