"From this year until 2033 - he has declared Councillor Gianluca Di Cocco with responsibility for Transport and Mobility - we will renew the bus fleet of the urban transport service with the purchase of electric and methane vehicles, using the funds made available by the State with the budget laws. Already in the decree of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, issued in 2015 in agreement with the Minister of Economic Development and the Minister of Economy and Finance, the Municipality of Latina was in the ranking with the allocation of over 12 million euros for innovative experimental projects of sustainable mobility consistent with the Urban Plans for sustainable mobility".
"With today's resolution - has explained Of Coconut - the municipal administration has decided to use 5.971.574 euros, in the time frame from 2024 to 2028, and 6.100.963 euros from 2029 to 2033. These sums will be used not only to purchase new vehicles to be made available for the local public transport service to replace those owned by the institution that are obsolete, but also to create those small infrastructures necessary for their use. "
"The new vehicles to be purchased with the first tranche of financing may replace the buses, provided for by contract, on loan for use to the current operator; the second tranche goes beyond the expiry of the current TPL contract and the vehicles to be purchased will be used in the new service according to the indications and methods established by the new regional network services plan." concluded Councilor Di Cocco.
