Latina, falls asleep on the bus and attacks policemen: a passenger arrested.

The State Police - Latina Police Headquarters on the evening of Friday 20 September 2024, intervened in the city centre to provide assistance to a patrol of the Latina Local Police Command, in difficulty with a passenger of the extra-urban public transport service.

The man, clearly agitated, was supposed to get off at Pomezia but, having fallen asleep during the journey, had reached the terminus at Latina and, therefore, had become particularly furious with the bus driver, going so far as to hit the windows with his fists.

His unruly behavior continued even in the presence of the Local Police officers, who happened to be passing by at the time.

Despite the intervention of the State Police, the man continued his aggressive behavior, uttering offensive and threatening phrases, and then physically attacking the police officers, causing them personal injuries.

The perpetrator of the facts in question was arrested for resisting, violence and injury to a Public Official, as well as for interruption of public service and was brought this morning before the Court of Latina, which validated the arrest and ordered the precautionary measure of the obligation to report to the judicial police.
