Illegal practice of medical profession: Fake beautician arrested for invasive treatments without qualification

The Carabinieri of the NAS of Latina, with the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Latina, have carried out investigative activity against a subject who performed invasive aesthetic treatments without any medical qualification, carrying out clinical evaluations, diagnoses and injections of fillers and botox on patients.

The system adopted followed in every way the typical practices of an aesthetic doctor: before proceeding with the treatments, he had the clients fill out a health form to collect information on any pathologies, allergies or medications taken, an activity reserved exclusively for health professionals. Additionally, he promoted his business through websites and social networks, attracting clients with fees significantly lower than those of qualified doctors.

Esercizio abusivo di professione medica: Arrestata falsa estetista per trattamenti invasivi senza abilitazione

Such conduct not only constituted an abusive practice of medicine, but also exposed patients to serious health risks. The uncontrolled administration of substances such as Botox and fillers can cause adverse reactions, infections and permanent complications, with even serious consequences for those who undergo these treatments without adequate safety guarantees. For these offences, the accused was reported to the Judicial Authority for violation of Article 348 of the Penal Code, which punishes the unauthorized practice of a regulated profession.

The Public Prosecutor's Office of Latina has issued a emergency seizure order for the structure used, whose value has been estimated at around 500.000 euros, a decree which was subsequently validated by the Preliminary Investigations Judge. Authorities urge anyone who has undergone treatment at the facility to report any problems they encounter and to always check the qualifications of the professionals they rely on for medical interventions.
