Ventimiglia: Territory Control, 3 People Arrested
The military personnel of the Ventimiglia Carabinieri Company continued to give maximum impetus to preventive activity by arranging widespread checks of the territory aimed at combating crimes. During the above-mentioned activities, three people arrested: two foreigners and an Italian. The first arrest It involved a man of Tunisian origin and without a fixed abode, who was caught red-handed while he was selling two small packages containing cocaine to a local youth. The substance, together with 180 euros in cash from the illegal activity, was seized by the military. On the same day, it was a citizen also arrested homeless somali who, in an evident state of drunkenness, after having harassed the employees of a commercial establishment in the area, had attacked the Carabinieri who had intervened.
The aforementioned, taken to the barracks, continued to put up strenuous resistance, forcing the military to contain him and declare him under arrest. The arrests were validated and both foreigners admitted their responsibilities, agreeing to a sentence of 3 and 8 months in prison respectively. Lastly, an Italian citizen, already burdened by the precautionary measure of the obligation to reside in this territory, in light of repeated failure to comply with the provisions imposed on him by the Judicial Authority and promptly reported by the Commands of the Arma, he was arrested in execution of an aggravating order ordered by the Judge and taken to his home to serve the sentence of house arrest. The checks will continue in the next few days in the Intemelia area.
