Ventimiglia, Carabinieri checks: 4 arrests in one day for drugs, resistance and property crimes
The soldiers of the Ventimiglia Carabinieri Company have given maximum impetus to thepreventive activity by arranging widespread checks of the territory aimed at combating crimes against property, drug dealing and crimes in general. During the above mentioned activities, the following were four people were arrested. The first, a citizen of Albanian origin and without a fixed abode, was caught while he was in possession of 42 doses of cocaine. The substance, along with cash amounting to 420 euros, the result of the illicit activity, was seized.
Furthermore, an Italian citizen, on the orders of the Judicial Authority, was tracked down by the military and taken to his home to serve a sentence of over two years in house arrest. Likewise, another Italian citizen, already burdened by the alternative penalty of community service in this territory, in light of repeated failure to comply with the provisions imposed on him by the Supervisory Magistrates, he was arrested and taken to prison.
Lastly, a Guinean citizen was arrested homeless, who is clearly in a state of drunkenness who, after having damaged seven motorcycles parked on the public road, had attacked the Carabinieri intervened. The man, particularly altered and violent, once taken to the barracks, continued to resist, forcing the military to contain him and declare him under arrest. Following the summary trial, the aforementioned was taken to prison in Sanremo.
The prevention and repression service carried out by the Carabinieri of Ventimiglia in the area of road traffic has also allowed to report an Italian citizen at liberty for driving under the influence of alcohol, with the simultaneous withdrawal of the driving license, and another driver for having given false personal details during a traffic check. The latter had attempted to mislead the operating military personnel by providing the data of a family member, in order to conceal his irregular status for having driven with a suspended license.
