Imperia: Without a ticket he is made to get off the train and goes on a rampage, harassing commuters, arrested by the Carabinieri.
At the Imperia railway station, the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the Imperia Company arrested a foreigner in flagrante delicto for resisting a public official and aggravated personal injury.
The young man, a thirty-two-year-old Nigerian national, already known to the police and seeking international protection, had been made to get off a train to Ventimiglia shortly before at Imperia Station because he was being a nuisance and did not have a ticket.
As soon as he got off the train, the foreigner, clearly in a state of psychophysical alteration due to excessive alcohol consumption, began to scream and break some glass bottles on the tracks, also bothering some commuters and students waiting for the train to go home.
When the Carabinieri arrived, the young man attempted to evade the check, first by going to the other platform and then by boarding the Ventimiglia/Genoa regional train, which had in the meantime arrived at the station.
Having also been taken off that convoy, the boy refused to give his personal details to the Carabinieri and, going into a rage, attempted to escape by pulling them.
Immediately stopped by the military, the foreigner was then taken to the barracks under arrest and, after the formal procedures, was held in the security cells of the Provincial Command of Imperia at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, having to answer for the crimes of resisting a Public Official, aggravated personal injury and refusal to provide information on his personal identity.
