Imperia: Carabinieri and AVIS still together to donate.

Even after the summer season, the collaboration between the Carabinieri of Imperia and Avis continues in the name of solidarity. An appointment now consolidated with the blood donation.
Always in line with the agreement stipulated between the General Inspectorate of Military Health, the Liguria Region and AVIS, health personnel equipped with an AVIS bloodmobile equipped for the task, arrived at the square of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Imperia, where the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Imperia and personnel of the Port Authority joined the initiative and voluntarily offered themselves for the noble initiative.

The demand for blood and blood products by hospitals in the province and beyond is continuous. According to data provided by the Ministry of Health, blood donations save the lives of approximately 630 thousand people per year only in Italy, and on average about 1800 per day these are the necessary transfusions.

Blood transfusions are essential for the treatment of many diseases, especially those that require continuous transfusions, as well as providing essential assistance in delicate surgical operations.

The provincial manager of AVIS of Savona, also competent for the province of Imperia, once again expressed his satisfaction and thanked the Carabinieri and the Provincial Commander, Colonel Marco Morganti, also among the first to donate, for the success that the project is obtaining with the Benemerita in the province and hopes that the collaboration can continue with similar enthusiasm also in the near future.
