Diano San Pietro: They enter his house to steal, they attack him and escape. Two young people arrested by the Carabinieri at the Railway Station

Two young people, one 24enne of Moroccan nationality in Italy without a fixed abode and burdened by numerous precedents, and its 22 year old accomplice, born in Italy – but also of North African origin and burdened by several criminal records – at around 16.00 pm on 26st January, they had entered an apartment in Diano San Pietro with the intention of committing a theft, probably relying on the fact that on Sundays after lunch people usually go out for a walk, spend time with friends or visit relatives.

In this case, however, things went differently since the owner, perhaps tired after a week of hard work, had decided to stay home to rest and then, suspicious of the noises, he surprised one of the two young men while he was rummaging through the drawers; one was born brief scuffle and the young man – and his accomplice who was acting as lookout at the entrance – made a daring escape through the streets of Diano San Pietro and Diano Marina.

Alerted by the victim via 112 NUE, the patrols of the Carabinieri of Diano Marina e of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of Imperia they immediately started looking for the responsible of the crime and that have been tracked down shortly after inside the Diano Marina train station, where they had gone in the hope of being able to disappear by boarding some train.

Taken to the barracks, after the formal procedures the two arrested were associated with the Imperia Prison, where they currently remain at the disposal of the Judicial Authority having to answer for the crime of improper robbery, a crime for which, also considering the precedents, they risk a sentence of more than 5 years in prison.
