Vallecrosia, Imperia: a foreigner found driving with false documents and another with fourteen doses of cocaine, another two arrests by the Carabinieri.

Also due to the contingent international tension which requires greater attention in border areas, especially on vehicles with foreign license plates or driven by foreigners, the control activity by the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Imperia continues which just in the last few hours and in two different circumstances, during a traffic control service near Vallecrosia, they have two foreigners from Eastern Europe were arrested and arrested in flagrante delicto.

In the first case it involved a twenty-four year old Romanian worker domiciled in Ventimiglia who, when checked while driving aAudi A6 with Romanian license plate, showed driving documents and a foreign identity card valid for travel abroad which from a cross-check by the operators is turned out to report personal data different from those present in the database. Accompanied to the barracks, a further series of checks made it possible to ascertain that the foreigner was driving the vehicle although his license was suspended and that the foreign identity document, although showing his photographic image, was counterfeit.

The man was then arrested in flagrante delicto for violation of art.497 bis of the Penal Code “Manufacture, possession or use of false identification documents”, a crime for which there is mandatory arrest in flagrante delicto and a prison sentence of up to five years; furthermore, since he was driving with a suspended license, the vehicle was seized and he was given an administrative fine pursuant to art. 218 of the Highway Code which provides for a fine of up to over eight thousand euros.

In the second case however, to be arrested was a twenty-three year old Albanian citizen domiciled in France who, again checked in Vallecrosia near Via Roma while driving a small car with a French license plate, was found in possession of fourteen doses of cocaine and almost four hundred euros in cash, results of the criminal activity.
