The Carabinieri of the Bordighera Company have Two young foreigners of Maghreb origin were arrested in flagrante delicto, held responsible for the attempted robbery in collaboration with a fifty-six year old local man, in charge of the custody of a villa located in one of the most renowned residential streets of the city of palms. The two very young people, a twenty-year-old and an eighteen-year-old of Tunisian origin, illegally residing in the country and with several previous convictions, in the early afternoon yesterday they were surprised by the trusted man of a Lombard family, in charge of the custody and care of their villa used as a summer residence.
When the man arrives, the two foreigners had already camped out and ransacked all the rooms, seriously damaging several pieces of furniture and piling up others together with some household goods near the entrance, evidently with the intention of taking them. Seeing themselves surprised, the two tried to escape and a brief scuffle ensued, during which – Although punched in the stomach – the victim still managed to follow the intruders and call 112.
A patrol of the Carabinieri arrived on site immediately of the Bordighera Company, which is already in operation for the purpose of preventing and repressing crimes against property in the residential areas of the town of palm trees, who identified and stopped the two young people, who in the meantime had almost reached the former Vallecrosia railway station. Taken to the barracks, after the ritual formalities the two arrested were taken to the Sanremo prison, where they currently remain available to the Judicial Authority having to answer for the crime of attempted robbery, a crime for which, also considering the previous convictions, they risk a sentence of over five years in prison.
