Bordighera, safety on the Ligurian coast: 6 arrests and 3 expulsions

With the start of the summer season and the increase in tourist flow along the western Ligurian coast, the Carabinieri of the Bordighera Company they have intensified their territorial control activities, with particular attention to predatory crimes. Over the last week, the preventive and repressive activity led to six arrests and three expulsion orders from the national territory, confirming the effectiveness of the measures adopted to guarantee the safety of residents and tourists. In two separate operations, five people of foreign nationality they were caught trying to commit house burglaries.

• In the first case, two individuals were caught in the garden of a villa while trying to force open a French window.. Thanks to the timely intervention of the military, they were stopped and arrested. One of the two, legal in the territory, was ordered to remain in the house and forbidden to go out at night; the other, illegal, was expelled and transferred to the Repatriation Detention Center in Turin.
• In the second episode, three subjects were surprised inside a private home. Even in this case, the escape attempt was in vain: arrested and tried in a summary trial, they were taken to prison where they remain detained.
• In the same time frame, The Carabinieri also arrested another citizen foreigner caught dealing drugs in the evening hours, in the local nightlife scene.

They complete the weekly balance two further expulsion orders against illegal aliens and those with criminal records. They were accompanied by the Carabinieri, in collaboration with the Immigration Office of the Imperia Police Headquarters, to the Repatriation Detention Center in Turin for the execution of the measures.
