Bordighera, 3 boys rob an 86-year-old with pepper spray.

Late yesterday evening the Carabinieri of Bordighera have 3 very young people arrested of foreign origin responsible for aggravated robbery to the detriment of a man of 86 years.

The 3 boys, an 18-year-old of Dominican origin, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old – both of Maghreb origin – at around 20.15:3 pm yesterday, noticed an elderly man who was returning home with groceries and a shoulder bag. Taking advantage of the darkness and the scarcity of other people, the XNUMX, after putting on gloves, balaclavas and “arming themselves” with pepper spray, attacked the man by discharging almost all the pepper spray in his face contained in the canister, and then steal his purse.

The victim lost his balance and fell to the ground. He still managed to call 112, despite the shock and the strong burning sensation in my eyes.

The Carabinieri arrived immediately on the scene and rescued the elderly man and tracked him down the 3 attackers.

Searched and found in possession of the stolen goods, the pepper spray can and the balaclavas, 3 very young people were arrested in flagrante delicto. The victim it was instead brought to hospital, where she was treated and discharged with a prognosis of a few days.

After the ritual procedures, the two minors were taken to the First Reception Center in Genoa, while the 18-year-old was held in the barracks in Bordighera. All are now at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, awaiting trial, to answer for aggravated robbery and injuries, crimes which carry a penalty of more than six years of imprisonment.
