The Mayor of San Vero Milis, Luigi Tedeschi, is the new President of the Oristano Health District Committee.
He was elected with 15 preferences by the assembly of mayors of the district which met this morning in the council chamber of the municipality of Oristano.
The Mayor of Oristano Massimiliano Sanna obtained 8 votes. The mayor of Samugheo, Basilio Patta, was elected as vice president.
Immediately after the election, the new president Tedeschi he underlined: "The importance of mayors' unity in action to defend healthcare. It is our task to summarize the requests of the territory at a time when extraordinary solutions are needed for extraordinary problems and among these the most serious one is the absence of general practitioners in the territories».
