Benevento, the BenTorrone fair is back.
Presented this morning to Palazzo Mosti the 2022 edition of “BenTorrone”, the nougat and artisan chocolate fair scheduled from tomorrow 24th to Sunday 27th November.
The delicious event organized byItalia Eventi association in collaboration with the Pro Loco Samnium and with the patronage of the Municipality of Benevento, returns after several years and will continue every day for hours 10 to midnight.
"It will be a party that celebrates the talent of artisans and companies coming from 6 different regions. In the front row there Campania, which they follow Calabria, Puglia, Sicily, Umbria and Tuscany. So between a laboratory and a chocolate sculpture, it will be possible to listen to some music or watch to one of the scheduled shows“, they explained during the press conference deputy mayor Francesco De Pierro,councilor for Productive Activities, Luigi Ambrosone, president of the Commission Productive Activities, Alboino Greco, the manager of Productive Activities, Gennaro Santamaria, the president ofItalia Eventi association, Giuseppe Lupo, the president of Proloco Samnium, Giuseppe Petito, leader
of the Hotel Institute of Benevento, Antonella Gramazio, and the representative of the Alberti Institute of Benevento Anna Clorinda Ricci.
For the occasion the Pro Loco organized guided tours of the city and its monuments. In addition to the participation of local schools, the presence of students will also be important students of the Higher Institute “G. Alberti” and the “Le Streghe” Hotel Institute.
It won't be missing eithera traveling cultural factory of artisanal chocolate, thanks to which show cooking and live appointments. Those with the history and processing of Benevento nougat are essential, so that it is possible to share the culinary culture venue with all the participants of the event.
The presence of Campania is strong, with eight nougat factories in the front row and Sannio companies. There will be fine honey from Capaccio Paestum, Neapolitan sweets and sweets, as well as the sweets of Neapolitan tradition, crepes and donuts.
From Irpinia mostaccioli and nougats of various flavors, while from the Picentini Mountains comes the much loved Giffoni hazelnut. Dehydrated and covered fruit is a must chocolate, including the classic citrus peels. Nougats from Puglia, sweets and typical products, nougats from Calabria and lots of liquorice, sweet and raw, also in loaf format. The latter is the main ingredient for prepare a traditional Calabrian liqueur. From Sicily, in addition to Modica chocolate and nougat, also with almonds and pistachio, there will be cannoli, cassata and sweets with almond paste.
From Umbria, a historic artisan chocolate shop with sweets, nougats and pralines and typical cantuccini and nougats from Tuscany.
