Genoa: two orders for the application of precautionary measures in prison were executed against 4 young people for robbery.

The State Police executed two orders for the application of precautionary measures in prison issued respectively by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations at the Court of Genoa, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, and by the Judge at the Juvenile Court at the request of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, against four young people aged between 16 and 30, considered presumed responsible for the robbery committed against two young people.

Three other minors were also released into custody for having taken part in the affair.

The two young victims were in Piazza De Ferrari, a well-known meeting point in the centre of Genoa, when they were initially brutally attacked by four young men with belts and shrubs, suffering various bruises and abrasions that were judged to heal in 4 and 10 days.

In a second phase, in which the victims tried to escape the fury of the attackers, three other minors joined them and in turn began to beat them.

One of the victims also had the gold necklace he was wearing around his neck stolen.

Only the intervention of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office of the State Police caused the escape of the "pack" and made it possible to rescue the two injured boys who, immediately afterwards, filed a complaint about the facts.

Staff from the "Fighting Widespread Crime" Section of the Flying Squad, after a meticulous analysis of the images from the surveillance cameras in the area, reconstructed the event and identified all the participants in the attack.

Thanks to the joint coordination of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office and the Ordinary Prosecutor's Office, in a short time two Cautionary Custody Orders were issued in prison against the four main attackers, two adults and two minors, all of Maghrebi origin, who in recent days were tracked down and sent to their respective penitentiary institutions, while the other three minors who joined the group of attackers are currently under investigation for injuries.
