Genoa, caught hiding 30 kg of hashish in a box: two individuals arrested by the Police.

Last Thursday, Flying Squad investigators arrested two men, both 65 years old, in flagrante delicto for possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of dealing, since found in possession of approximately 30 kg of hashish blocks, just unloaded from their car, to hide them inside a warehouse in the S. Fruttuoso area.

For a few days, the agents of the Anti-Drug Section of the Genoese Flying Squad had been monitoring the movements of the two men, noticing an unusual coming and going right near a garage they use. And, in fact, the dynamics observed, both for the circumspection used by the suspects and for the fleeting nature of their presence in the area, confirmed the suspicions about the illegality of the activities carried out.       

On Thursday evening, the Flying Squad investigators, after noticing the two men arriving in a car and unloading a large box, they intervened, stopping the suspects as they tried to hide the drugs inside the warehouse.

This is an important response to the phenomenon of drug dealing considering that the large quantity of hashish seized would have been intended to supply the various pushers operating in the city. At the disposal of the Judicial Authority, the arrested people were taken to the “Marassi” and “Pontedecimo” prison.
