Genoa: Man banned from residing in the region steals a credit card. 34-year-old arrested.
The State Police of Genoa arrested a 34-year-old homeless man, for improper use of payment instruments other than cash, also reporting him for receiving stolen goods.
Yesterday evening the patrol cars of the UPGSP and the Central Commissariat were sent from the operations room in via XX Settembre because a gentleman had suffered theft of a backpack kept in one's car. Inside there was also a credit card and the man was continuing to receive notifications of small expenses, which he was not making, in various tobacconists.
The agents went to the various addresses indicated by the bank's application but never found the user of the card, but from the images of the cameras of a tobacconist they managed to obtain the description of the 34-year-old, perfectly visible while he was making an illegal purchase at the time notified by the app.
The operators immediately started looking for the man and after about ten minutes they tracked him down in Piazza de Ferrari. Taken to the police station, following a search, he was found in possession of the stolen credit card, which was then returned to the person entitled to it. He was also subject to a precautionary measure prohibiting him from residing in the Liguria region., issued last July 6 following a theft with a snatch.
