Genoa, property crimes, theft, assault and resisting a public official: a 42-year-old, a 36-year-old and a 57-year-old in trouble.
The Genoa State Police arrested a 46-year-old for the crime of attempted robbery.
A believer was sitting inside the Parish of Sant'Antonio waiting for Mass when he heard noises coming from the back of the church and, turning, saw a man who, with a screwdriver and a torch, was trying to extract coins from the offering box.
He approached to make him stop and the 46-year-old threatened him with retaliation and attempted to leave the sacred place. As soon as he was outside he was stopped by a passerby and by the person requesting the intervention himself, who was scratched on the arms in an attempt to stop him. The UPGSP police officers intervened promptly and arrested him, seizing a large screwdriver from him.
The State Police carried out an arrest warrant against a 42-year-old.
During the normal patrolling of the territory, the policemen of the Cornigliano police station subjected the 42-year-old to a check and, being without documents, he was accompanied to the police station to be identified. Subsequent investigations revealed that the man, with multiple convictions for crimes against property, was the recipient of an arrest order to serve the sentence of 9 months and 29 days for the accumulation of concurrent sentences. Once the formal procedures were completed, the man was transferred to the Genoa-Marassi prison.

A Polfer policeman, free from duty, was passing with his car in via Sant'Alberto when he saw a man scream furiously and violently punch the glass of a parked car in which a visibly frightened girl had locked herself inside. The operator first requested the intervention of the police cars and then approached the 36-year-old and qualified. The latter downplayed the events that occurred by saying that it was a simple argument and, unnerved by the policeman's intervention, he threw himself at him and, although the latter initially managed to push him away, he was then punched in the face.
Other people present immediately intervened to remove them and, immediately, the police squad from the Cornigliano police station also arrived. The operators who intervened tried to calm down the extremely aggressive subject who put up active and violent resistance. The policeman hit by the punch was referred to the emergency room and discharged with a 10-day prognosis for trauma to the eye, scratches to the neck and bruises to the knee. The 36-year-old was made available to the Judicial Authority.
The State Police reported a 57-year-old woman for the crime of aggravated theft.
A nurse went to a bedridden patient to administer treatment and saw a woman crouching on the ground intent on rummaging in the bag placed under the stretcher of man. He asked her what she was doing with her and she stood up holding the newly stolen banknotes in her hands. The woman returned the stolen goods and was reported by the police from the Sestri police station who arrived on site shortly afterwards.
