Genoa: the alleged perpetrators of a violent robbery in Forte dei Marmi arrested, also accused of receiving stolen goods of a Rolex worth 35.000 euros
The three men, a 25-year-old Libyan and two Algerians aged 25 and 18, were taken to Marassi prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, while the woman, a 29-year-old French citizen, was accompanied to Pontedecimo prison.

La State Police of Genoa has placed a person under judicial police custody 25 year old Libyan e two Algerians aged 25 and 18, for the crime of robbery in competition. In the same operation, a woman was also placed under judicial police custody for the crime of receiving stolen goods 29 year old French citizen.
The UPGSP patrol officers, during the control of the territory, noticed the 18-year-old sitting in front of the entrance of a building sampierdarena street who, as the service car passed, tried to hide. Having become suspicious, the officers stopped the car to proceed with the check. At that moment another individual approached, the 25-year-old Algerian who was carrying a large backpack on his shoulders and dragging three trolleys with him, who, introducing himself as a friend of the young man, seemed surprised by the check. Shortly after, the other two, also so-called friends, appeared.
All of them were without identity documents even though they declared themselves tourists. Asked to show the contents of their bags, the four took out several new clothes, with the tags still attached, but they did not remember the place and day of purchase, which is why they were all reported at liberty for the crime of receiving stolen goods.
In light of what was discovered, the young people were taken to the police station for photo identification. During the search of the 29-year-old, the officers found a Rolex Daytona brand watch, in rose gold, (commercial value 35.000 euros), which the woman was unable to justify her possession of.
An investigation was started immediately, following which it was learned that a few hours earlier, near Forte dei Marmi, three individuals had perpetrated a violent robbery to the detriment of a man, who had a Rolex identical to the one just found stolen. Thanks also to the collaboration with the Investigative Unit of the Carabinieri of Viareggio, it was possible to get in touch with the victim of the robbery who described his attackers in detail and provided the serial number of the stolen watch, corresponding to the one found by the police in Genoa.
I Carabinieri they also provided images from video surveillance cameras in the area where the robbery had taken place, where the three were filmed while they were driving around in a white car with French license plates, which was later found parked near Via Sampierdarena. Inside the vehicle, clothes and accessories were found, some of which were identical to those worn by the subjects captured on camera in Forte dei Marmi. Inside a piece of luggage belonging to the 25-year-old Libyan, a clearly counterfeit French identity card bearing his personal details was also found. For this reason, the 25-year-old was also reported for possession of false documents.
The three men have been linked to the Marassi prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, while the woman was accompanied to the Pontedecimo prison.
