The State Police of Genoa arrested a 47-year-old in the act of crime of possession for the purpose of trafficking of narcotic substances and released into custody for illicit possession of a weapon.
Yesterday evening, Flying Squad personnel, as part of the services aimed at combating drug crimes, together with the drug-sniffing dog “Leone”, subjected a suspicious subject, burdened by specific precedents, to a check near their garage.
The dog immediately focused its attention on a specific box, which turned out to be in use, signaling the presence of drugs inside.
Inside the box several wrappings were found containing hashish-type narcotic substance and a disassembled and unloaded shotgun that the subject reported having found in a forest some time ago.
Overall, inside the garage available to the 47-year-old and his home, a total of approximately 11kg of hashish.
The Magistrate ordered that the man be transferred to the Marassi prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
