Genoa: Injures an officer, 26-year-old from Chad arrested.
The State Police arrested a 26enne of Chad, legally resident in the National Territory, resident in the province, for crimes of violence or threats and resisting a public official and aggravated personal injury.
Yesterday evening, patrol officers and the Crime Prevention Unit, during a foot patrol to prevent crime and combat drug trafficking in the alleys of the historic center, stopped for identification the young man who was hanging around in Vico Mele, an area brought to the attention of the Office in relation to complaints from citizens. The subject immediately showed intolerance to the control and, when specifically asked to show his residence permit, he reacted aggressively., also throwing a homemade cigarette on the ground and hiding it with his foot.
Meantime the drug-sniffing dog, in support of patrols, he signaled the young man, directing his attention to his pockets and the backpack he was carrying on his shoulder. The 26-year-old then began to become even more agitated, waving his arms to avoid the activity and attempting to hit the officers in the face. A fight ensued during which one officer was injured in the hand, receiving a 5-day prognosis for blunt trauma.
Escorted to the police station, the arrested man, with a criminal record for drug dealing, was taken to the holding cells to be subjected to a direct trial this morning. The man was also administratively reported as a drug user, since the cigarette he was trying to hide contained cannabis.
The officers proceeded in Piazza Raibetta against a 20 years old and in via San Lorenzo against a 21 year olds, both local Italians, from whom narcotics for personal use were seized and a report was initiated ex art.75 DPR 309/90.
The services continued until night, with particular attention to the areas of Vigne, Maddalena, San Luca and Sottoripa.
