Genoa, thefts and violence at the station: 5 foreigners stopped by the Polfer, three arrests and stolen goods recovered

The Railway Police Staff of the Genova Piazza Principe station, following an ordinary check, identified 5 subjects (two of whom were women) of Maghreb origin, already known to the Polfer staff as they were the perpetrators of similar crimes against property committed in recent weeks in this railway area. The five, irregular on the National Territory, They were accompanied to the Polfer offices where one of them was found in possession of a PC stolen the previous day on board a train, coming for this reported at liberty for the crime of receiving stolen goods. The officers then returned the laptop to its rightful owner.

During the investigations, the group of young people showed attitudes of intolerance and impatience, which then resulted in acts of violence that caused injuries to the police officers, reason why three of them were arrested for resisting and injuring a public official; the two women were reported at liberty for the same crime and, while one of the two was discharged because she could not be expelled due to the lack of legal requirements, the other was made available to the Immigration Office waiting for the forced escort to the border to be validated.

At the same time, on the basis of targeted and in-depth investigations, the team of the Judicial Police of the Polfer Department identified a house used by two of the suspects, carrying out a house search delegated by the competent Judicial Authority which led to the discovery and subsequent seizure of further stolen material, presumably “obtained” from thefts committed in the railway sector. Among the stolen goods found, a telephone and a laptop they had been carefully wrapped in tin foil, improperly believing that this measure could prevent their possible location since some of the suspects had recently been tracked down and reported for similar crimes by the Polfer agents using this technique.
