The Genoa State Police continues to monitor the Fiumara park, an area recently frequented by young people dedicated to drug dealing.

Last Monday, the officers of a UPGSP patrol noticed a suspicious coming and going of people near two young people sitting, one in front of the other, on the benches in the gardens: the customers approached the first, a 22-year-old Egyptian, and gave him money, then they moved on to the second boy, a 19-year-old Egyptian, who took something from a hole under the bench and handed it to the buyers.

Following a personal search, the 19-year-old was found in possession of a dose of cocaine and approximately 7 grams of hashish and was reported at liberty. The 22-year-old, in possession of 290 euros and with a criminal record in relation to narcotics, was extended the search to his home, with the help of a dog team, where some doses of cocaine hidden inside an intercom, 135 grams of hashish, a precision scale and 6200 euros in cash were found. He was then arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to deal.

The patrols of the Cornigliano Police Station, during an initiative check in the gardens of the shopping center, stopped another young man, a 19-year-old Egyptian, who was hiding 11 packages of hashish in the cuff of his pants. In his pocket also 165 euros.
During the house search, carried out by the canine team, the dog Leone sniffed out another 30 grams of cannabis.
