Genoa: He stole wallets from elderly people while they were shopping, 25-year-old arrested

In the last few days, following the investigation activities of the Rapallo Police Station, a precautionary custody measure in prison, issued by the Court of Genoa, against a 25-year-old Moroccan, held responsible for aggravated theft and improper use of someone else's credit card.

The investigative activity of the Police Station, which began in August, allowed the 25-year-old to be identified as the alleged perpetrator of the theft of wallets carried out, on three different occasions, from people over sixty-five while they were shopping at the supermarket, where the man followed them between the shelves and then took advantage of their distraction and stole their wallet.

After having landed the various hits, the 25-year-old went to ATMs to withdraw money from their current accounts and make purchases in shops.

Following the viewing of the images, the investigators of the Rapallo Police Station they immortalized today's arrested man while he was robbing an elderly woman who was shopping at the supermarket and a patrol car from the police station recognized him, in the following days, even though he had changed clothes, while he was walking along the seafront of the Ligurian town.

The young man was immediately stopped and found in possession of 1.500 euros in cash and several receipts for cash withdrawals from various ATMs in the city, he was reported for theft and a compulsory expulsion order was issued against him with a ban on returning to Rapallo.

At the end of the investigation, the Genoa Public Prosecutor's Office requested the issuing of a pre-trial detention in prison, performed in recent days in Milano by the agents of the Bonola Police Station Milano, who tracked him down and took him to the San Vittore prison.
