Genoa: State Police, inter-force anti-crime service in the heart of the Genoese alleys.

Yesterday evening, UPGSP staff coordinated a territorial control service in the historic centre, with the Liguria Crime Prevention Department and anti-drug dog handlers.

During the service, the areas where significant critical issues were recorded were monitored, due to the frequentation of drug dealers and users, subject of complaints received from citizens and associations. In particular, the operators visited Piazza Caricamento, Via di Prè, Piazza Banchi, Piazza della Commenda, Via Gramsci, in the Darsena area and all the various surrounding alleys.

During the service, a 33-year-old Moroccan man was administratively fined for possession of a narcotic substance for personal use as he was found in possession of a few grams of the narcotic substance.
During the operation, the State Police dogs found approximately 78 grams of hashish hidden in various nooks and crannies in four different places - in Vico del Pomino, in Via del Campo, in Vico Untoria and in Piazza Banchi.
