In recent days, the State Police of Genoa has a 26-year-old man arrested of the place for persecution pursuant to a custodial remand order issued by the GIP of the Court of Genoa.
The young man began to hold a stalking behavior towards girlfriend last year, when the girl had attempted to end the relationship. From that moment on, a dangerous escalation of stalking for which he was reported.
Last November 6th, following yet another outburst of intemperance directed not only at his ex-girlfriend but also at her mother, he was again reported from the Nervi Police Station, for stalking, attempted extortion and damage.
The following week, the 26-year-old, in an attempt to talk to his ex, had insistently contacted a friend of hers, who was staying with her, threatening her.
The Genoa Public Prosecutor's Office, given that the man has various criminal records, has already been warned in the past for persecutory conduct towards another ex-girlfriend and for domestic violence towards his father, sister and grandmother, has requested the GIP to issue a pre-trial detention in prison. Last Monday the officers of the Nervi Police Station carried out the measure and took the man to the Genoa-Marassi District Prison available to the Judicial Authority.
