Genoa: Off-duty State Police officer recognizes wanted man and has him arrested.

A State Police officer, serving in the Flying Squad of theUPGSP of Genoa and free from service, he recognized a 67-year-old Romanian at the bus stop homeless, on which there was a pending detention order in prison following the revocation of the decree suspending the sentence.

The operator, aware that on the subject there had been an arrest warrant pending since last May, promptly alerted his colleagues and he started chasing the bus which the man had climbed onto in the meantime.

Thanks to the timely intervention of a patrol car, the wanted man was stopped and taken to the police station. During the search, in the 4.500 euros in cash were found in the man's backpack, sum subjected to seizure for further investigations and to evaluate the possible application of a patrimonial prevention measure.

The arrested person was finally transferred to Marassi prison, where it will have to serve a remaining sentence of 3 months and 10 days.
