Genoa: Inter-force anti-crime service, one arrest for evasion
The staff of the Prè State Police Station coordinated a territory control service in the city center with the Liguria Crime Prevention Department, anti-drug dog handlers, personnel from the Polfer, the Army and the Local Police. During the activity the areas where the most critical issues are recorded due to the frequentation of drug dealers and users, subject of complaints received from citizens and associations, were monitored.
In particular, the operators searched the Caricamento area, the Darsena, the Principe Station, via XX Settembre up to via San Vincenzo. During a check customers in a venue on Via Gramsci a 36-year-old Moroccan man was administratively reported for personal use of drugs as he was found in possession of a small quantity of cocaine. Furthermore, while the officers were walking along Via San Luca, they noticed a young man who ran away at the sight of them. After a short chase, he was caught in Vico Indoratori and subjected to a check.
The 26-year-old Gambian was found to have been sentenced to serve with house arrest and for this reason he was arrested for evasion by being outside his home at an unauthorized time. Furthermore, direct route to the validation of the arrest, without prejudice to the presumption of innocence until a final conviction. Furthermore he was administratively reported because he was found in possession of a small quantity of cannabis.
