Genoa, fight against drug dealing in the Cornigliano neighborhood. Algerian arrested who was dealing in the Melis gardens

The Genoa State Police arrested a 36-year-old Algerian for the crime of drug dealing.
The officers of three patrol cars, two from the UPGSP and one from the Cornigliano Police Station, during their regular patrol, carried out a targeted check to combat drug dealing in the Luciano Melis gardens in the Cornigliano neighborhood.

As soon as they entered the gardens, the officers noticed the 36-year-old, very agitated, hiding a pack of cigarettes in his pocket and then running away, during which he tried to get rid of two brown blocks by throwing them into the undergrowth.

At that point the officers chased him and immediately stopped him, finding him in possession of the pack of cigarettes where he had hidden a precision scale.

Thanks to the collaboration of the Canine Unit, the officers managed to find the two brown blocks thrown by the young man during his escape, which later turned out to be approximately 180 grams of hashish.

The 36-year-old, with several previous convictions, was transferred to the Marassi prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authorities.
