Genoa: checks in Genoa railway stations and adjacent areas, 1 person rescued, 3 reported and 1 arrested.
The patrol cars of the UPGSP and the Cornigliano Police Station intervened to help a man who was walking on the train tracks.
Once the train traffic was interrupted, the officers left the Sampierdarena station and walked along the railway line towards the centre, until they found the subject, a 30-year-old Nigerian in a complete state of confusion.
The man was rescued and entrusted to medical personnel for transport to the Villa Scassi hospital.
Shortly afterwards, at around 13.00 pm, UPGSP agents were sent to Sestri station because Trenitalia staff had reported three people hiding inside the hold of the bus that is temporarily replacing trains to Savona.
When the trunk was opened, the officers found three 18-year-olds, residents outside the province, hiding inside.
The young people were reported for disruption of public service, since the vehicle departed almost an hour late.
It should be noted that the proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase, so the defendants are to be considered innocent until a final sentence is reached.
At 14.15pm, during the control of the areas adjacent to the Genova Brignole railway station, a UPGSP crew stopped a 51-year-old homeless Italian man.
Following investigations, he was found to be the recipient of a prison order issued by the Court of Genoa on 18 October.
The man, with a criminal record for crimes against the person, property and drug-related crimes, was taken to Marassi prison where he will have to serve 1 year, 3 months and 15 days in prison.
