I continue anti-crime checks in the various neighborhoods of the city, delegations from Prè and Sestri Ponente were beaten. The Prè Police Station, together with two anti-drug canine units, RPC personnel, Polfer, Local Police and Army, carried out ablanket control activity in the area of via Prè and surrounding alleys, an area mainly affected by critical issues related to drug dealing and consumption, also verifying two complaints. At the Principe metro station, the dogs Leone and Constantin, in two separate moments, have sniffed out a 16-year-old local and a 31-year-old Colombian, later found in possession of some doses of cannabis. Both were reported to the Prefecture for personal use, the minor was then handed over to his parents. The foot patrol continued in Piazza dell'Annunziata, Via Lomellini, Via del Campo, Vico Croce Bianca and adjacent areas.
The staff of the Sestri Police Station, together with the Crime Prevention Unit and a canine team, searched the area between via Toscanelli, piazza di Vittorio, the Ricci Gardens, the Rodari Gardens, up to the area adjacent to the church of SS. Annunziata della Costa and the Genova-Costa railway station in Sestri P., areas that have already been reported as they are frequented by groups of young people who cause disturbance, making themselves responsible for damage and degradation.
During the service, also aimed at combating phenomena of disturbance of the public peace carried out by individuals addicted to the use of psychotropic substances and alcohol abuse, a bar in Piazza Di Vittorio was checked, inside which a 35-year-old Moroccan, with a criminal record and an illegal permit, was identified, found in possession of a dose of cannabis. The man was reported as a violator of immigration laws and reported to the Prefecture as a consumer of narcotic substances. At the end of the two anti-crime control activities, a total of almost 150 people were identified, 48 of whom had a police record..
