Genoa: 29-year-old arrested for damaging multiple cars on the street.

The State Police arrested a 29-year-old Liberian resident in the capital, holder of a regular residence permit, for the crime of damage.
Following multiple reports to 112NUE of a man who was damaging some cars in Via dei Landi, the Operations Room immediately sent 4 patrol cars to the scene. The man, equipped first with a wooden stick and then with an iron bar, in a few moments broke the windshields of several cars parked along the street.

On the spot, a group of residents alarmed by the sound of breaking glass, took to the streets. Upon arrival, the officers blocked the man who was unarmed and took him to the police station. The causes of the act are currently unknown.

The subsequent investigations by the Scientific Police revealed the damage to over ten cars. The first reports were immediately acquired, and further reports are being filed this morning at the Police Headquarters and the city police stations.

The arrestee's position is being examined by the Anti-Crime Division for the immediate adoption of the relevant measures.
