Genoa: 235.000 Ligurians vaccinated against influenza, 69% of doses administered by family doctors.

I am already 235.373 thousand Ligurians have been vaccinated with the flu forty days after the start of the prevention campaign that began on October 14: 12.174 in ASL1, 44.745 in ASL2, 124.721 in ASL3, 21.438 in ASL4, 32.295 in ASL 5. 69% of the vaccines were administered by general practitioners, 18% by pharmacies, 7% by private pediatricians, 6% by ASL and other providers. Compared to the same period last year, 20 thousand more doses have already been administered.

"The first response from the Ligurian population was very positive - Explains Liguria Region Health Councillor Massimo Nicolò - The invitation I address to citizens, especially now that we are entering the coldest season, is to continue to do prevention. In this way, in addition to protecting ourselves, we could especially protect the frail, the elderly and those suffering from pathologies, also limiting visits to the Emergency Room. And to further limit this phenomenon, the Liguria Region is organizing a plan to strengthen local health care with health facilities located throughout the territory and open during the holiday period in conjunction with the flu peak. Getting vaccinated is therefore important for everyone but it is essential for those over sixty-five and for those suffering from diabetes, immune, cardiovascular and chronic respiratory diseases, pathologies that can lead to possible complications".

Meanwhile In Liguria, extraordinary vaccination campaigns continue. In addition to the possibility of getting vaccinated at the ASL clinics, in pharmacies that offer the service, or from your trusted doctor or pediatrician, in ASL 4 it was possible to administer the flu shot yesterday also at the Red Cross headquarters in Moconesi and on December 19 it will be possible at the Health Point in Cicagna thanks to the itinerant flu shot campaign organized by ASL4. In ASL2, on December 23rd from 9am to 14pm, an Open Day is also scheduled for anti-Covid vaccinations.
