Arrested in Genoa for drug dealing: Found with marijuana, plants and production material

The Genoa State Police has A 40-year-old local man was arrested for possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing. During the regular control of the territory, a foot patrol of UPGSP officers, heard a strong odor attributable to marijuana, coming from a building in via Celesia, and therefore decided to carry out a registry check of the condominiums. In fact, the 40-year-old lived among them, with several previous convictions in the police for both drugs and property crimes, which is why the officers, suspicious, entered the building to see if the strong smell was coming from his home.

The man, at the unexpected sight of the officers, immediately became agitated leading to the assumption that he was in possession of something illicit, but from an initial personal search no substance was found. However, the operators, driven by the strong smell, deepened their searches and found, in the master bedroom, 7 jars containing marijuana for a total of 225 grams, two regularly functioning greenhouses with 17 marijuana plants between 50 and 95 centimeters, a diary with all the phases of the production process reported and 250 euros in banknotes of different denominations. The material was seized and the man was immediately arrested at the Marassi prison, where he is awaiting validation.
