Extraordinary territorial control services continue in Genoa's historic center, as part of efforts to prevent and suppress predatory crimes, combat drug dealing, and protect urban decorum in the most critical areas.

On the afternoon of Friday 24 October, the service – coordinated by Prè Police Station – has seen the operators of the Piedmont Crime Prevention Department, from the dog team with the drug-sniffing dog Lionand Administrative Police and PolferIn partnership with Guardia di Finanza and Urban Security Department – ​​Commerce of Local Police.

The patrols beat the areas of via Prè, vico Largo, vico degli Adorno, via Gramsci, piazza Metellino, via and piazza del Campo, vico Croce Bianca and the surrounding alleys.

During administrative checks in six commercial establishments of Vico Largo, Via Prè, Piazza del Campo and Via Balbi, four activities were fined by the Guardia di Finanza and the Local Police for failure to label products, failure to issue receipts and errors in the electronic transmission of receipts, for a total of approx 2.000 € of fines.

One arrest and two reports

During the checks, the drug-sniffing dog Lion has identified a 26-year-old Ecuadorian in possession of a dose of hashish.
