The State Police of Genoa arrested a 20-year-old for the crime of improper robbery, aggravated theft and resistance to PU
It was the two reports of theft of an electric bicycle, who arrived a short distance from each other at 112 NUE, triggering the intervention of the police. The first theft took place in Piazza della Commenda at around 21pm and the second, ten minutes away, in Piazzetta San Carlo.
The police officers who intervened first acquired images from video surveillance cameras in the area, from which it was possible to clearly see the young man during the commission of the thefts. Immediately afterwards, with the help of other UPGSP patrol cars, the officers of the Cornigliano police station started looking for the man, tracking him down in via Gramsci while he was still riding the second stolen bicycle.
The young man, at the sight of the Police, he tried to escape on foot but it was reached and blocked, with no little difficulty due to the opposing resistance. Not far away, the operators also found and recovered the first bicycle removed. Both legitimate owners were invited to the police headquarters to formalize the complaint and, at the same time, regain possession of the bicycles.
The 20-year-old, against whom a prohibition of residence in the Province of Genoa, will be judged in a very direct rite this morning. However, the suspect's presumption of innocence remains intact until the final sentence is reached.
