La Genoa state police arrested a 34 year old for Theft aggravated. On the night of July 26, the UPGSP patrol officers intent on refueling in Viale Brigate Bisagno heard screams coming from an adjacent sidewalk: a citizen was calling their attention by pointing to the perpetrator of a theft fleeing towards Piazza della Victory. The crew immediately chased the 34-year-old, who, shortly before being captured, threw a package into the pot holder of a public place.
They were found inside 7 bundles of banknotes for a total of 5000 euros. Meanwhile the employees of a slot room nearby they reached the fugitive, indicating him as the one who, shortly before taking advantage of a moment of absence of the cashier, had entered behind the counter and forced the door of an office with a corkscrew, had the premises' proceeds were stolen. The arrested person was judged in a very direct manner. The presumption of innocence remains intact until the final conviction.
