Genoa: he is stopped by the State Police because he is not wearing a seatbelt but they find him in possession of a knife, reported
The State Police reported a 39-year-old local man, with a criminal record for property and personal crimes, for possession of weapons or objects capable of causing offence and for unjustified possession of altered keys or lock picks. The man was also fined for driving without a seat belt, with the consequent suspension of his license for 7 days.
The officers of a patrol car from the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid saw him while he was driving his car without wearing a seat belt and immediately stopped him. When the man opened the dashboard door to take out the requested documents, the officers immediately noticed a large Swiss army knife, with a blade lock, hidden in the compartment. A thorough check of the car was immediately carried out, leading to the discovery of 6 large screwdrivers, 7 combination wrenches and a black balaclava, all objects for which he was unable to provide credible information about the possession.
