Genoa: Sala della Trasparenza – 9 Paralympic Sports Merit Awards assigned to athletes, clubs, technicians and managers

It was held at the Hall of Transparency of Liguria region the handover ceremony of Paralympic Sports Merit related toyear of production 2023.

This recognition, promoted by the Paralympic Committee, celebrates athletes, technicians, managers and sports clubs who have particularly distinguished themselves in their disciplines.

The ceremony was attended and the awards were presented by the deputy vice-president of Ligurian Paralympic Committee Dario Della Gatta,'Councillor for Sport of the Liguria Region Simona Ferro andCouncillor for Sport of the Municipality of Genoa, Alessandra Bianchi.

Silver Star for Paralympic Sporting Merit for Michelangelo Buonarrivo, president of the Ligurian committee FIDESM. Rewarded with the Stella di Bronzo even sports managers Enrico Carrea (FIV), Mariagrazia Gilardi (FIPPS) e Claudio Puppo (FIPIC).

The athletes awarded today represent an extraordinary model for thousands of young people with disabilities who, dreaming of reaching the same goals, approach the Paralympic world for the first time and begin to frequent gyms, sports fields and swimming pools.

A very important step in the life of every single individual, because sport has always been a unique tool to promote sociality and inclusion, without any distinction of gender, age or ability.".
