Genoa, State Police: one arrest for aggravated theft and one complaint for attempted robbery

The State Police brought in arrest a Genoese of 25 years for the crime of Theft aggravated.

On the night of October 12, the officers of a UPGSP patrol car on territorial control duty, reinforced for the needs of the “movida” in the heart of the Genoese alleys, intervened to help a young man who had shortly before been the victim of a snatch theft in via di San Bernardo.

In particular, the 25-year-old, taking advantage of a moment of distraction from the victim, with a lightning-fast move, attacked him he tore the necklace from his neck and then ran away.

The agents have intercepted the perpetrator of the theft, in the meantime blocked by a person who intervened to defend the victim, near via San Lorenzo, finding him still in possession of the broken chain, then returned to the rightful owner.

The 25-year-old, with several previous convictions before the police, will be tried in a summary trial this morning.

Attempted robbery in a supermarket in the alleys of Genoa. Reported

The State Police intervened, again in via San Bernardo, on the evening of October 11th, to denounce un 42 year old Algerian for the crime of attempted improper robbery.

The man entered a supermarket located in the nearby alleys and, after taking several packs of coffee from the shelves, for a value of approximately 60 €, is escaped without paying by bypassing the checkouts.

A security guard, who had seen him flee, called the police and chased him to via di San Bernardo, thus allowing the officers of a UPGSP patrol car, who quickly intervened to help him, to block the 42 year old still in possession of the stolen goods. During the intervention the Algerian he threatened the security guard.

The goods were like this returned to the supermarket manager and the 42-year-old was reported.
