Genoa: State Police investigation into drug dealing, 2 arrests and 500g of cocaine seized

The State Police of Genoa has carried out, following investigation activities of the Prè Police Station, an enforcement order of precautionary measure in prison, issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations at the Court of Genoa, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, against a 29 year old Ecuadorian for the crime of dealing of narcotic substances.

The investigation activity started at the beginning of the year by the Investigative Team of the Prè Police Station, allowed, during a service aimed at repressing the phenomenon of drug dealing, to arrest a 50 year old Ecuadorian found in possession of approximately 500 g of cocaine; the agents found the aforementioned quantity, following house search with a drug-sniffing canine unit in an apartment sampierdarena street.

The technical activity subsequently carried out on the cell phone seized from the man allowed the Prè agents to find numerous messages between him and the 29enne who, using encrypted methods, arranged appointments for the delivery of drugs. In particular, in one of these conversations, on January 9th, the two made an appointment for the delivery of 500 g of cocaine, drugs presumably attributable to the one seized from the 50-year-old at the time of his arrest; furthermore, the subsequent telephone interception allowed the operators to hear the 29-year-old complaining on the phone, to an unknown number, about the loss of the 500 grams of cocaine following the arrest of his friend.

Subsequent investigative investigations have allowed us to outline the role of the 50-year-old, still confined in Marassi, not as a mere custodian but as the protagonist of a cocaine trafficking activity, in concert with today's suspect.
The investigation activity, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office, has therefore allowed obtaining from the GIP of the Court of Genoa, the order of precautionary custody in prison, a measure carried out last Wednesday by the agents of Prè, who tracked down the 29-year-old at his home where they found him in possession of 3.200 € divided into small denomination banknotes.
