The State Police intervened: the man had attempted to escape into the Bisagno stream, but was stopped and taken to prison.

Genoa, Via Canevari, 16.05 pm – The intervention was requested by a Japanese tourist who, while crossing the street in Square of the Americas, was approached by a stranger who told him violently snatched the watch (value estimated at around 50.000 euros) which he wore on his wrist, then fled on foot in the Brignole tunnel towards Via Canevari.
Once out of the tunnel, the man threw himself into the riverbed Bisagno stream, from a height of about 4 meters, causing injuries, and then sneaking into a tunnel used as a spillway watersThe patrol officers intervened on the spotGeneral Prevention and Public Relief Office with the assistance of the Fire Brigade and 118 soldiers.
The searches continued until approximately 21.00 pm, when one of the spillways where continuous surveillance has been arranged, was I saw the man crawl out. Immediately blocked, it was arrested and taken to prison Marassi available to the Judicial Authority.
