Chiavarese: Robbery, drug dealing and illegal possession of weapons, 3 young people arrested

The measures arise from the investigative activity of the Chiavari Police Station aimed at repression of recent episodes of violence that occurred in eastern Liguria, starting from last summer, which saw some young residents as protagonists. The most serious episode dates back to the end of September when a boy, while he was near the Chiavari station, was approached with a banal excuse by the two, who After threatening him with a knife, they kicked and punched him and then snatched the watch from his wrist. A passerby saw the scene and immediately called the patrol car, avoiding more serious consequences for the victim.

The operators of the Chiavari Police Station, Thanks also to the images from the cameras, they reconstructed the entire incident and identified those responsible for the attack, following a complex investigation activity. On the basis of the circumstantial evidence thus collected, and without prejudice to the general principle of non-guilt until a final judgment has been reached, the coordination of the two Public Prosecutors' Offices has allowed the request for the application of the precautionary measure issued and executed by the investigative team of the Chiavari Police Station on Wednesday.

Furthermore, the Chiavari Police Station arrested a 29-year-old Ethiopian for the crime of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing and illegal possession of weapons. In the course of the afternoon, in fact, as part of the service prepared by the investigative team of the Chiavari Police Station for the tracking down of the two individuals burdened by precautionary measures, the officers stopped the 29-year-old Ethiopian, finding him in possession of a 28 cm knife, approximately 38 grams of narcotic substance including cocaine and hashish and 1.740 euros in small denomination banknotes. The 29-year-old, arrested for the crime of possession of narcotic substance for the purpose of dealing and illegal possession of weapons, was tried with a summary trial.
