La State Police of Genoa arrested a 28enne Ecuadorian accused of resistance and attempted injury to a public official, in addition to deferring him for refusal to undergo toxicological tests, failure to comply with the order to produce documents e contempt of a public official. The episode occurred yesterday morning, when the officers were at the Signorini Sports Center for a different intervention.
Suddenly, a van entered the area strong speed, risking hitting a police officer and a security guard of the facility. As the officers approached the vehicle, the driver began to hastily unload some packages, completely ignoring the order to stop.
At the sight of the policemen, the man – in evident state of alteration – started to to insult the officers, quickly getting back into the vehicle and continuing their journey. During the escape, he performed sudden maneuvers, even going as far as touch one of the operators, putting his safety at risk. After a few meters, the 28-year-old finally stopped the vehicle, being immediately stopped and taken to the police station.
Once identified, the man was subjected to alcohol test, negative result. The 28-year-old has however refused to submit to toxicological tests, further worsening his position. The young man was then arrested and made available to the judicial authorities, pending the very direct.
