The State Police has arrested, pursuant to a custodial remand order issued by the Preliminary Investigations Judge at the Court of Genoa, a 35-year-old Italian from outside the region and homeless, because he was considered responsible for three robberies committed on the evening of February 17 in the historic center. According to what was reconstructed by the investigative activity, that evening, starting from 19.00 pm, a male subject completely disguised and armed with a gun, broke into the pharmacy on via A. Doria near Porta Principe Station, where he stole 150 euros after threatening the owner of the pharmacy with a gun.After a few minutes he burst into a focacceria in via Gramsci, where he threatened the employee by pointing a gun at her and stealing 100 euros., as well as a piece of focaccia and a drink. Shortly after he approached the pharmacy in Piazza della Nunziata, where, after a couple of passes in front of the windows to make sure there were no customers, he grabbed the gun, threatened the employee with the weapon and stole 800 euros from the cash register.
The investigations, immediately started by the "Falchi" of the Flying Squad and carried out with the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office, have allowed us toidentify the robber also through the images of the various video surveillance systems present both in the robbed businesses and in the surrounding streets; in particular those of the “Città Sicura” circuit which allowed reconstruct the route taken by the alleged robber before and after the crimes. On the basis of the investigative activity carried out by the Flying Squad, the Public Prosecutor's Office has requested the application of a precautionary measure, issued by the Preliminary Investigations Judge at the Court of Genoa. On Monday morning, the investigators of the Flying Squad who carried out the investigations, have tracked down in the centre of the municipality of Fidenza and arrested, with the support of the Parma Flying Squad.
