Sora: Stalking and harassing his sister for a long time, 51-year-old arrested

The precautionary measures imposed following the arrest were not sufficient. Prison ordered for the 51-year-old from Pescosolido arrested by the Carabinieri while he was standing near his sister's car, whom he had been stalking for some time, after meeting her in a bar and following her. A situation that has been followed for some time by the military but also by the municipal authorities, with the Mayor who had repeatedly attempted to intervene to mitigate an inexplicable conflict, without real reasons, which probably originates from a state of personal anxiety which, however, can lead to very dangerous situations and attitudes such as the one found by the Carabinieri at the time of the arrest. After the arrest, in fact, the man had been placed under “house arrest”, believing that imposing house arrest would keep him “at bay” and would allow his sister, who lives in the same municipality, to be effectively protected.

Instead the provision, issued by the Judicial Authority always attentive to events of this type, yes he had to face the unreasonable behaviour of the defendant who nullified the restraining force of the limitations imposed on him, but not because of the inadequacy of the prescriptions but rather for the arrested person's absolute intolerance for the rules but above all for "the substantial indifference towards the command of the Judicial Authority" (as stated in a passage of the order issued by the GIP) which the 51-year-old has demonstrated. In fact, on the same day in which the stalker was placed under house arrest, a few hours later, he was surprised by the Carabinieri of the NORM of Sora, in a bar.

After drinking more than a few beers, he was impassive and comfortably seated and even when the Carabinieri arrived he did not feel in the least responsible for the violation. It took all the management skills of the military of the Radiomobile Squad to take him home without incident. It was clear, however, that the danger remained; the fact that he had calmly gone from the house to the bar "for leisure reasons", suggested that he could have calmly gone, perhaps right after the stop in the public place, to look for the victims of his bullying, his sister and her family. Throughout the afternoon and afterwards, the Carabinieri of the NORM and the Sora Station carried out multiple checks at the house, to make the man feel the pressure of the surveillance and to force him to stay at home.

In the meantime, the Public Prosecutor was informed of what had happened and what had been ascertained, and he then requested the Judge, who had imposed the measure restricting personal freedom, a measure to worsen the personal precautionary measure in place which was not long in coming. Thus, the arrest warrant has arrived and the Carabinieri of the Sora Station and of the NORM, together, went to the house in one of the main streets of the town and, after having notified him of the provision, made him get into the Alfa Romeo Giulia, in the appropriate security cell, and escorted to the Cassino prison.
