Piedimonte San Germano (Frosinone), copper cables stolen from a photovoltaic system. Thieves on the run chased by the Carabinieri
On the night between Saturday 23th and Sunday 24th, A gang of thieves stole copper cables from a photovoltaic plant in Piedimonte San Germano, causing significant damage to the company, which is still being assessed. As they were about to drive away with the loot loaded onto a white van, the criminals ran into two patrols of the Carabinieri from the Cassino Company who began chasing them for several kilometres.
The criminals then abandoned the moving van with all the stolen goods, fleeing on foot into the surrounding countryside, thus evading capture. During the investigations, the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the NOR of the Cassino Company, assisted by their colleagues from the Piedimonte San Germano Station, ascertained that the Fiat Ducato, in circulation with a license plate that did not belong to it, had been reported stolen by its owner last July to the Carabinieri of Castel di Sangro (AQ). The vehicle and the stolen goods were returned to their owners.
The commitment of the men and women of the Cassino Carabinieri Company continues both for the prevention and repression of all forms of illegality, and to combat crimes against property.
