Frosinone: Territory checks, 98 people identified and 71 vehicles checked

Extraordinary checks of the Anagni Carabinieri Company and of the dependent Stations who carried out an evening/night mission service aimed at: preventing and repressing crimes against property (especially home burglaries), to control road traffic as well as places and premises frequented by people addicted to the consumption of narcotic substances and the abuse of alcoholic beverages. 

The military performed additional and specific services aimed at increasing the levels of perceived security in the jurisdiction. In the preventive activity 10 patrols were employed, for a total number of 20 soldiers, who have guarded the territories of the Municipalities of Anagni and Ferentino, intensifying controls to ensure the safety of citizens through targeted services aimed at preventing and repressing the most widespread criminal phenomena, in particular countering the spread of narcotic substances among young people and home burglaries with particular attention to the areas where there has been a significant resurgence of forms of illegality.

Numerous public establishments checked with the execution of targeted checkpoints along the main roads and arteries, during which the military They identified 98 people and checked 71 vehicles. During the checks the military personnel have intercepted 6 people, burdened by police prejudices, who were caught near private homes and near industrial sites, in some areas where there has been a particular upsurge in phenomena related to crimes against property.

Against the aforementioned, considered dangerous for public order and safety, the proposal for the application of the Mandatory Exit Notice was put forward since they were unable to provide a valid reason for their presence in the places where the checks were carried out.

In the suspected cases, the Carabinieri, employed in the device, have deepened the checks by carrying out searches for the search for weapons and drugs, thus allowing the discovery of various packaged doses of different types of narcotic substances: a total of 0,74 grams of cocaine and 6,6 grams of hashish were seized. Overall 7 young drug users have been reported to the Prefecture – Drug Addiction Office – of Frosinone for the initiation of the administrative procedure against them pursuant to art. 75 of Presidential Decree 309/90.

The military have placed particular attention also to the surveillance of road traffic and to the verification of compliance with the Highway Code on city streets and main connecting roads, in particular to curb the increasingly widespread phenomenon of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. During the checks, the Carabinieri reported at large a man who, caught driving his car in Anagni, in an evident state of psychophysical alteration, refused to be subjected to a breathalyser test.

Another complaint at large for a man who was in Ferentino caught driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol because, subjected to breathalyser tests, showed a blood alcohol level higher than the permitted level. For both, the driving licenses were withdrawn and the vehicles subjected to administrative seizure.

The Carabinieri also conducted checks on compliance with the provisions on safety and urban decorum in the industrial area between Ferentino and Frosinone on the Via ASI commonly known as “Asse Attrezzato”, with particular reference to the activity of prostitution. The attention of the Arma di Anagni in the fight against predatory crimes remains high and similar services will continue also during the weekend and in the coming days in the entire territory of competence.
